By analyzing and collecting real life perspectives I explored my chosen topic ( Gender inequality-dowry) even more. I did this by formulating five open ended questions and asking those questions from my mother and teacher .

The questions

1. Where do we see gender discrimination in our daily lives?

2. Define gender discrimination

3. What is the islamic point of view of dowry?

4. Are there any cultural, social or economic reasons for dowry practice

5. Does lack of dowry affects a daughter's life in the future?

Exhibition-Dowry

PYP - EXHIBITION Exhibition is a project and an event where learners choose a real life issue and share their understanding by performances, social media blogs and more. After 6 months of researching by taking interviews, surveys, field visits, hands on activities and internet. Children also have to pick an IB action type ( advocacy, social justice, social entrepreneurship, participation and lifestyle choices) to represent their work. The exhibition helps learners to develop skills such as critical thinking, communication and collaboration. Power dynamics refer to how power is distributed and used within a relationship or group. It's about who has influence, control, and decision-making authority. Power dynamics in a marriage determine who holds influence in decisions and actions in the marriage. Unequal power can lead to emotional distress, conflict, and even abuse, while when both partners have equal say and respect in a marriage, the relationship becomes much happier and more successful. There are some healthy and unhealthy dynamics in marriage as well. Healthy dynamics can include: Both partners have equal say, respect each other, and communicate openly.
